Billboard-charting reggae-pop blending vibrant island energy with hook-driven songwriting — four national tours, festival mainstages, and a feel-good message that brings people together.
The Irie have quickly become one of the most exciting voices in modern reggae-pop, blending vibrant island energy with hook-driven songwriting. Bursting onto the scene with their charting 2021 EP Can’t Get Enough, the band proved they could move both Billboard and Apple Music charts while building a grassroots fanbase on the road.
Since then, they’ve completed four national tours, expanded into Mexico, and commanded mainstages at some of the biggest reggae festivals in the U.S.
George Ruiz — singer, songwriter, and frontman — continues to push the project forward into its next chapter. Continuing to evolve, The Irie have been working with acclaimed producer Matt Keller on a full-length album featuring collaborations with genre heavyweights like Anarbor, Badfish, The Elovaters, and Katastro.

The Irie have cultivated a vibrant social media presence that extends their music far beyond the stage. With thousands of followers across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, the band connects directly with fans by sharing new releases, live show footage, tour diaries, and behind-the-scenes content that captures their laid-back yet high-energy vibe. Each post is a chance to bring listeners into their world — announcing a festival slot, dropping a new single, or highlighting fan interactions. Their growing online community not only supports their music but also spreads their feel-good message, helping The Irie reach new audiences around the globe.

Founder, frontman, and creative force of The Irie — catchy hooks, smooth laid-back energy, and a modern edge that sets the band apart. Since bursting onto the scene with the charting 2021 EP Can’t Get Enough, George has led the group through four national tours, shows in Mexico, and Billboard and Apple Music charting releases, commanding mainstages from Cali Roots to Red Rocks.
A songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, George writes and produces for The Irie and for artists across genres through his label and production house, Island Riot Records, working out of his Mesa, Arizona studio. He’s also carving out his own lane as an island-country solo artist — where reggae rhythm meets country soul — with singles like “Sail Out” and “Lost in You.”
The groove at the core of The Irie’s sound — Marcus lays down basslines that blend reggae rhythm with alternative influence, giving the music its signature bounce. He’s the pocket the whole band builds on: locked in with the drums, driving the low end that turns a feel-good song into a moving crowd.
Alongside George since the band’s breakthrough, Marcus has anchored The Irie through four national tours, a Mexico run, and mainstage festival sets from Cali Roots to Red Rocks — bringing the same steady energy to a stripped-back acoustic session as to a festival crowd of thousands.
Growing up in a musical family and playing drums for as long as he can remember, Dwayne Dedrick has always been driven by music. An accomplished touring musician and producer, he has spent his career traveling the world, learning not only from some of the industry’s most respected artists, but also from the people and cultures he encountered along the way.
With a deep connection to reggae music and a passion for preserving its traditions, he believes the best way to keep the culture alive is to share it with others. More than a performer, Dwayne is known as a mentor and “big brother” to fellow musicians, always willing to encourage, teach, and celebrate the success of those around him. Whether he’s offering guidance behind the scenes or greeting someone with his unmistakable smile, he has a way of making people feel welcome and valued.
